Henry then finally got some fights under his belt with a 14 and 3 record. Before moving home in 1993, Anan and Wit's family opened the world famous Kaewsamrit Gym located in Bangkok in 1992. Henry was supposed to debut for a fight in Thailand in the summer of 1993, but unfortunately an eye injury brought Henry's fight career to a hault. Henry moved back to Baltimore in 1994. He remained out of the fight game until 1999. In late 1999 he resumed training once again and also began coaching fighters of his own. Getting back into Thai boxing, in 2002 Henry was introduced to Kru Scott Anderson and was reconnected with his passion for Muay Thai.
Since then, Henry continues to travel to camps and gyms to train with top level fighters and coaches such as Ultimate Gym's Kru Nester, Coban Lookchaomaesaitlong, Ganyao Fairtex and his close friend and coach, Four time World Champion Jongsanan "The Wooden Man" Fairtex at Fairtex's US headquearters in San Fran where he makes annual trips. Through Jongsanan Henry has had the pleasure of meeting true legends of Muay Thai such as Bunkerd Faphimai (over 350 pro fights), Samart "Neungsiam" "The Rock" Samphusri (Lumpini fly weight champion) and Phanuwat "Coke" Chunhawat (over 250 fights). Henry is now beginning to establish relationships with Camps inThailand where his fighters can train. These trips are also to extend the invitation to top coaches and fighters in Thailand to come to the states and help with Team Ground Control. Although Henry is no longer fighting, he is always broadening his scope of knowledge, never becoming complacent with what he already knows. Henry became part of Ground Control's family in 2004 as our Head Muay Thai and Boxing Coach.
